What happens next

A real person answers within one business day.

I run a deliberately small practice — six clients per quarter, no agency, no account managers. When you reach out, you'll get a reply from me, not from a scheduler in a shared inbox. The reply is short, plainspoken, and asks one or two questions about the work in front of you.

If there's a fit, I'll send a one-page engagement memo before any contract — scope, timing, fee, and what I'll ship inside 30 days. You don't have to take a sales call to see it. If there isn't a fit, I'll say so directly and, where I can, point you to someone better suited to the problem.

How to reach me.

Email is the fastest route. Phone is for established clients and urgent matters.

Before you book

Four questions senior buyers ask first.

How quickly will I hear back?

One business day, usually faster. If you email on a Friday afternoon, expect a reply by end of day Monday. The first reply is from me, not a scheduler, and will either ask one or two clarifying questions, send the engagement memo, or tell you there's no fit.

Who exactly am I on the call with?

Me. I'm the senior on the engagement and the person who scopes and writes the work. Two collaborators — a senior editor and a senior researcher — join once the engagement is signed, for projects that need them. There's no junior team behind the curtain.

What should I prepare before the call?

Three things, max: what you've already decided, what's still undecided, and the date something needs to ship. Links to current work help but aren't required. I do the heavy lifting on framing — your job on the call is to be honest about constraints, not to bring a deck.

What happens if the fit isn't right?

I'll say so in the first reply, not after a sales cycle. When I can, I'll name two or three people better suited — other independents I trust, agencies that fit the budget, or an in-house hire I think would serve you longer-term. Most of my work comes from those exact referrals.

If the question you have isn't above, send it by email and I'll answer directly.
